Former Providence Mayor Buddy Cianci is wasting no time getting back behind the microphone of his radio talk show, a day after losing his comeback bid.
Cianci went back on the air at WPRO-AM on Wednesday at 3 p.m. He says he's returning to his old job full time, although plans to take Thursday and Friday off.
Cianci took leave from his radio show in June, when he announced he would run for a seventh mayoral term as an independent. He has worked at WPRO since 2007, when he completed a federal prison sentence.
Democrat Jorge Elorza won comfortably over Cianci. He says when Cianci called him to concede Tuesday night he was gracious and said he wanted Elorza to succeed.
