The Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts, announced the birth of a monkey on Wednesday.
The Eastern, black-and-white colobus monkey was born at the zoo on Sept. 10.
Colobus monkeys are native to equatorial Africa.
Zoo New England says they participate in the Eastern Black-and-White Colobus Species Survival Plan, which is designed to maintain genetically diverse and demographically stable captive populations of species.
The zoo says the monkey can be seen in their exhibit when the temperature is above 55 degrees.
