A Massachusetts man is facing charges for allegedly threatening an MBTA worker and assaulting a police officer.

Xavier Galatis, 23, of Medford allegedly became violent when a T employee confronted him on Tuesday for not paying the fare at Harvard Station on the Red Line.

Police say that's when Galatis threatened to kill the worker and began yelling racial slurs.

When officers tried to arrest him, he allegedly hit an officer in the stomach.
