Day Care Rape Case Hearing Postponed

A Massachusetts man accused of sexually assaulting two boys at a daycare will be in court Monday morning

A Massachusetts man accused of sexually assaulting two boys at a daycare will be in court next week after his hearing was postponed Monday.

Kyle Loughlin, 21, was arrested last Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to charges of sexually assaulting two children at a daycare at Bridgewater State University.

Court documents reveal that workers at the Children's Center at Bridgewater State University started having suspicions something wasn't right in early March, with one teacher telling police she thought teaching assistant Loughlin was "very odd" and was "zeroing in" on one of the boys at the day care.

Loughlin was working at the day care as part of his studies at Bridgewater State.

The children's center director, Judith Ritacco, 53, was also arrested for failing to report the alleged abuse.

She was ordered to be held on $25,000 cash bail and must surrender her passport and avoid contact with all children upon her release.

Officials with the university confirm Ritacco has been fired from the institution.
