Man Charged in Fatal Crash That Killed His Best Friend

22-year-old Tayquan Goodman of Springfield, Mass. died over the weekend

A crash in Springfield, Massachusetts, has left one person dead. It happened just before midnight Saturday on Roosevelt Ave.

22-year-old Tayquan Goodman was ejected from a car after it hit a utility pole. He became trapped underneath the 2003 Infinity.

Police say a man approached them and asked to be arrested, saying he was responsible for his best friend's death.

The driver of the vehicle, Daquan M. Warrick, was arrested and charged with motor vehicle homicide while under the influence of alcohol.

Two other passengers inside the car did not get injured.

The car was severely damaged and the pole was knocked over, but the wires weren't brought down.

The accident remains under investigation.
