Police in New Bedford, Massachusetts, are investigating the death of a 32-year-old man as a homicide.
The body of Edson A. Ramos was found in a grassy area near Route 18in Weld Square after police responded to the sounds of gunfire around 2 a.m. Sunday, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office confirmed.
Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials could not confirm any details about the cause or nature of his death, but the case is being investigated as a homicide.
