U.S. News & World Report has named Massachusetts General Hospital the third best care facility in the nation.

Trailing just Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, Massachusetts General is the top-ranked hospital on the east coast.

"The only hospital in the nation to be highly rated in all 16 specialties, Mass General is #1 in the nation in Psychiatry and Ear, Nose and Throat (with Massachusetts Eye and Ear) and among the top five in Cardiology & Heart Surgery, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology (GI) & GI Surgery, Gynecology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Pulmonology and Rehabilitation," the hospital wrote in a statement. "These consistently strong results reflect the passion and energy of every member of the Mass General community."
