No Arrests After Shooting Victim Found at Gas Station

Police in Taunton, Massachusetts, say a man is in stable condition after he was shot at a gas station Saturday night.

Police in Taunton, Massachusetts, say a man is in stable condition after he was shot at a gas station Saturday night.

Around 10:50 p.m., police responded to the Sunoco Gas Station at 231 Broadway for a report of a shooting victim. Police found a 24-year-old male victim in the driver's seat of a black BMW with apparent gun shot wounds sustained through the car door and window.

The victim accounted to police that he was sitting in the vehicle with a passenger near 29 Winter Street when he was shot several times from outside the car. According to the victim, his passenger fled on foot and the victim drove a short distance to the well-lit gas station.

Police say the man was transported to Morton Hospital and Medical Center. He was later transported to a Boston hospital where he remains in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation. No arrests have been made.
