Reinstated Service to 15 MBTA Commuter Rail Trains

The Keolis Commuter Service announced on Friday that 15 MBTA Commuter Rail trains will resume operations on Monday, March 9.

 The Keolis Commuter Service announced on Friday that 15 MBTA Commuter Rail trains will resume operations on Monday, March 9.

This announcement comes as part of the system recovery plan to restore full service by March 30.

Company officials also announced the Fitchburg Line would return to full weekday service during the morning rush hour. Weekend schedules remain at full service.

The 15 trains include trains from the Haverill Line, the Fitchburg Line, the Franklin and Fairmount Lines, the Providence/Stoughton Line, and the Old Colony Line.

In the past week, passengers saw service restorations on many lines including the Framingham/Worcester Line and the Needham Line.

The company said on-time performance is continuing to improve, with more than 90% of trains arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival times during morning rush hour.
