Police in Vermont say a man wanted in a shooting at a Colchester apartment on Monday turned himself in.

Twenty-nine-year-old Patrick J. Bombard of Williston is facing charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault. He's accused of shooting a 36-year-old man twice Monday morning.

Bombard walked into the Burlington Police Department Wednesday.

Police said Tuesday that the victim was in stable condition at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Police say the shooting stemmed from an altercation and say the two men knew each other.
