Swastikas Drawn Across Dedham, Mass.

Police are investigating offensive graffiti that was discovered Wednesday in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Five swastikas and multiple written comments were found drawn across the town. Police say six spots, including two fences, two roads, a driveway and a bulkhead, were tagged overnight.

The tags were spread across town, with the neighborhoods of Endicott, Riverdale, Oakdale and Greenlodge being hit.

It is not believed that the tags targeted any specific people.

"Ignorance is no defense. Swastikas represent hate and bigotry, and we are aggressively pursuing those responsible," said Dedham Police Chief Michael d'Entremont. "We will not tolerate this in our community."
