Trial Continuing for Marathon Bombing Suspect's Friend

Testimony will resume Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the trial against a friend of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect

Testimony will resume Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the trial against a friend of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect.

Robel Phillipos is charged with lying to investigators after the bombings with his alleged role in disposal of the evidence.

In court Wednesday we got our first look at text messages between Phillipos and another friend, Dias Kadyrbayev.

Kadyrbayev urged Phillipos in the text messages to come to Dzhoknar Tsarnaev's dorm room to help remove items.

Kadyrbayev and another friend, Azamat Tazhayakov, have been convicted of removing potential evidence from Tsarnaev's room.

Tazhayakov, who is testifying against Phillipos, said that earlier during that day he watched Phillipos smoke pot and that Phillipos was in the dorm room when the items were removed.

Tazhayakov also acknowledged that his testimony against Phillipos could help in his sentencing.

The defense argues that Phillipos was too high to remember if he was in the room.
