A 58-year-old woman who was badly injured in East Hampton, Connecticut, might have been kicked by a horse, according to state police.
The major crimes unit responded to White Birch Farm on White Birch Road, an equestrian facility, early on Wednesday morning. A neighbor said the woman had been beaten and was bloody when she came out of the house early Wednesday morning and was taken away in an ambulance.
East Hampton Police called state police at 3:45 a.m. to assist with the investigation at the home.
Now, police are looking into the possibility that the woman might have been kicked by a horse.
The woman sustained multiple injuries and has been taken to St. Francis Hospital, according to state police.
