(NECN) - Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank is opening up, now that he doesn't have any re-election ambitions.
He spoke Thursday at a forum at Suffolk University about the problems with democracy in our country today.
And he said one of the biggest issues is that he thinks people were so frustrated with many democrats, they voted in republicans just to make a point.
He joked that could be a good campaigning point for democrats this year.
“So the bumper sticker for us this year for the democrats should be we’re not perfect but they’re nuts.”
Frank said Congress is simply too divided these days and the parties need to come together to work more effectively.
