(NECN) - Jim Brett, CEO of the New England Council, and John Hailer, CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management, joined NECN to discuss Boston Mayor Marty Walsh’s first 100 days in office.
“I think he’s done a terrific job. He’s had some tragedies,” said Brett, referring to the Boston Police officer and two Boston Firefighters who passed away. “I think he has shown grace under a lot of difficult circumstances.”
In addition, Brett and Hailer gave an update on the New England economy.
“The New England employment numbers, Massachusetts employment numbers, were a little better. It’s a really good, positive mood that came out, but at the same time the global economy still has its issues,” Hailer said.
The panel also talked about the Boston Marathon on Monday.
