There's been an influx of technology companies moving to the Boston area of late. The cyber security firm Lookout is the latest to arrive on the scene.

Jim Dolce, CEO of Lookout, joined NECN to discuss his company.

Lookout provides security for the post-PC era. All smartphones, tablets and mobile devices are susceptible to cyber intrusion and attacks. Dolce's company works to thwart cyber criminals.

The lookout application will immediately warn a user of malicious activity and software. It will provide the needed information in order to safely address the issue.

The company will be up and running in October. They are looking to hire about 50 people to work out of their Boston office.

Dolce says Lookout can also help prevent major data breaches as well.
