BOSTON – Marc Savard could pass his second neuro-psych test this afternoon with flying colors, but it isn't going to matter for tonight's Game Six.

After taking very little in the way of contact during a Sunday practice and a few pregame skates, a team source with knowledge of the situation said the Bruins won't play Savard against the Sabres tonight. The Bruins have decided to err on the side of caution with a player trying to come back from a Grade 2 concussion.

No decision has been made about a potential Game Seven in Buffalo should Boston lose a second straight game.

There’s always a miniscule chance that Savard could somehow talk his way back into the lineup tonight, but that possibility seems very, very unlikely given all the factors involved, according to the source.
