(NECN: Katie Daly, Leicester, Mass.) - The world's best disc golfers are in Worcester this weekend, competing for the richest prize on the competitive sport's national tour.
This weekend frisbee golfers are competing in the Vibram Open held at the Maple Hill course in Leicester. Its the final event of the Professional Disc Golf Association national tour.
The three day event has drawn hundreds to Massachusetts. These disk golfers come from all corners of the world are competing to win 50-thousand dollars.
The professionals say the sport is closer to tradition golf. 18 holes, or in this case baskets are played, and the person with the fewest throws wins. The biggest difference instead of clubs they use discs.
