(NECN) - The 26th annual Boston Film Festival starts today. It'll feature more than 50 films and a lot of movie stars, too. One of those stars is Aaron Eckhart, who was in our studio this morning with his brother, director Jim Eckhart.

They've paired up to create an independent film, "To Be Friends," which will be featured this weekend.

Eckhart says producing this movie came naturally to him. "I grew up in independent movies and I love material actors," he said.

You can catch the Eckhart brothers' new movie from September 17-23 at Boston's Stuart Street Playhouse.
