Friday...Steady rain and downpours will fall during the morning with a few embedded thunderstorms. A general half inch to inch of rainfall is likely. Some storms could contain the potential for some locally damaging wind during the late morning. Breaks of sun work from west to east during the afternoon, while showers continue in Maine. Highs ranging from the 40s in the North Country, to the lower 60s in most of Central and Southern New England. South wind becomes west, at 10-20 mph.
