(NECN/KOCO/AP) - Heavy rains are causing flash flooding across Oklahoma City, stranding motorists and prompting the closure of portions of several interstates and city streets.
Police say parts of three interstates were closed this morning after between 2 to 6 inches fell in just three hours.
Forecasters say an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain per hour will occur in some areas.
Police say there are no immediate reports of injuries, but police and fire officials rescued several stranded motorists after their vehicles were trapped in rising floodwaters.
