(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - The Massachusetts State Police were involved on Wednesday morning in a pursuit of a reported hit-and-run suspect on the Southeast Expressway.
The pursuit began in Boston and continued onto Route 3 South. It ended at Exit 14 in Rockland.
The suspect is now in custody.
Police confirm at least one shot was fired during the high-speed car chase. It is not immediately clear who fired a gun.
A pedestrian was struck in the city's Roxbury section at about 10:30 a.m.
The suspect refused to stop and was chased onto the Southeast Expressway all the way to the Hingham/Rockland exit.
No names have been released at this time.
