Missing Manchester, NH Kayaker Recovered by Dive Team

Officials recovered a woman on Friday from a Manchester, New Hampshire river after she fell from her kayak and failed to resurface on Thursday.

Dive teams searched for the 32-year-old kayaker who was believed to have drowned in Piscataquog River. She was removed from the water at approximately 9:30 a.m. by the New Hampshire Fish and Game dive team.

Witnesses reported that the woman fell out of her kayak and did not resurface. Rescue crews and divers searched the immediate area and were unable to locate the woman, calling off the search and making it a recovery effort on Thursday.

The recovery effort was turned over to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. The New Hampshire Marine Patrol is investigating the incident.
