The budget officer for the Northborough-Southborough School District in Massachusetts has been arraigned on charges related to the theft of more than $200,000 from the district's accounts.
Christopher P. Hoey, 34, of Stow faces charges of larceny over $250 by common scheme, embezzlement by a public official and uttering. He is being held on $100,000 bail, and the case is continued to April 1.
State Police Detectives were contacted by Superintendent Christine Johnson to report what appeared to be a theft of school funds. A complete forensic audit is underway.
