A man was arrested on indecent assault charges after allegedly subjecting a female Bridgewater State University student to unwanted sexual advances and inappropriately touching her.
The suspect, who was not named by Bridgewater State University's police department, was arrested Sunday afternoon on charges of indecent assault and batter and assault and battery when he arrived on campus.
Campus police say the suspect is an employee of the university's contracted food-service provider, Sodexo, and has been placed on administrative leave.
Police say the assault happened on Thursday, April 16, on campus, and that the student came forward last Friday.
Police say the suspect was released on $1,000 personal recognizance and will be arraigned Tuesday in Brockton District Court.
