A man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he stabbed a victim's face and neck during an altercation early Sunday morning outside a restaurant and bar in Westport, Massachusetts.
Police responded to Joe's Cafe after employees said 26-year-old Jesse Morrow of Dartmouth was being obnoxious. The workers said they asked Morrow to leave on two separate occasions.
According to police, Morrow pulled a knife and slashed a tire. When employees approached to try and make him leave, police say, Morrow stabbed the male victim.
The victim suffered a laceration, between six and eight inches, across his face and neck.
Police say Morrow tried to kick a police officer and continued to be belligerent while being booked. They say they had to stun his leg.
Morrow faces charges including assault with intent to kill, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property and resisting arrest. He was held on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
