With rain gone, sunshine dominates! Drier air taking hold of New England is cooler by nature than the air of the last couple of days, but while no record warmth is expected, the entire region is trending to sunshine and pleasant, above normal temperatures in the 55-60 degree range.
Under a clear sky, temperatures overnight tonight will drop below freezing for many, but with relatively dry air no black ice is expected. Saturday looks fantastic with highs either side of 60 degrees - a weak cold front will approach New England and induce an increasing southwest wind ahead of it, particularly during the afternoon when gusts may approach 30 mph, but the front passes with little fanfare...and not much in the way of cold air.
In fact, though Sunday's high temperatures may be a few degrees cooler than Saturday, we'll still climb into the 50s...though the air will be even drier, and eventually, this has an impact on our weather. In fact, the slow approach of the next storm system from the nation's midsection will mean Monday clouds and developing showers, and the moistening of preceding dry air will mean a somewhat cool start to the workweek.
Nonetheless, the remainder of the exclusive Early Warning Weather 10-day forecast shows recurring, periodic showers through next week, but high temperatures running some 10-15 degrees above normal. Don’t forget to set those clocks ahead Saturday night!
