Three young children are being placed in a foster home after police arrested their grandmother for neglecting them in Grand Isle, Vermont.
State police arrested 59-year-old Florance Atherton after finding two children who were about 2 years old and a 5-year-old who appeared to be neglected.
One of the younger children, a girl, was walking around unsupervised with no clothes on when police arrived at the Reynolds Road home.
The children were placed in the custody of the Vermont Department of Children and Families, which police say will place them in a foster home.
Atherton is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 27.
