A woman's body was recovered from a river Thursday in Providence, Rhode Island, according to NBC affiliate WJAR.
The body was found at about 2 p.m. near Promenade Street, Providence police said.
The woman's body was taken to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner's Office. Her name wasn't immediately released.
While her death is being investigated as a homicide, police didn't release details surrounding that incident, WJAR reported.
