Cold Front to Allow Dry, Comfortable Air Before Chance of Rain

A cold front will slide through the area Tuesday morning, allowing for drier and comfortable air to filter into the region after midday.

Early morning showers are possible and by Tuesday afternoon, clouds are expected to decrease with a return to sunshine. Unlike Monday, we won’t have to deal with highs in the 90s, but temperatures will stay above average with highs in the 80s in central and southern New England while northern New England’s highs are expected to be in the upper 70s.

Temperatures then likely hit the 80s again Wednesday before another shot of slightly cooler air arrives Thursday, right on the first day of summer. The Thursday cooldown will arrive after some Wednesday night and Thursday morning showers.
