Sources: Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker's Son Andrew Accused of Sexual Assault

Sources tell the NBC10 Boston Investigators that Andrew Baker sexually assaulted a woman aboard a JetBlue flight to Boston

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker's son Andrew has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman, sources tell the NBC10 Boston Investigators.

The alleged assault happened aboard a JetBlue flight from Washington, D.C. to Boston on June 20.

Sources say the incident happened 20 minutes before the plane landed Wednesday night at Logan Airport.

The passenger says Andrew Baker, who was sitting next to her, was groping her sexually and she asked him repeatedly to stop.

The flight crew then moved the alleged victim away from Baker.

Massachusetts State Police came on board the flight and escorted Baker off the plane once it landed.

In a statement Friday night, the governor's communications director said, “This is a personal matter for the Baker Family and A.J. will cooperate with any request from authorities."

JetBlue said in a statement Friday night, "On June 20, the crew of flight 1354 were notified of an incident between customers shortly before landing in Boston. The aircraft landed at approximately 11 p.m. local time where it was met by local authorities."

JetBlue would not confirm the customers' identities.

Andrew Baker is being represented by Roberto Braceras at Goodwin Procter, according to the governor's communications director.

In a statement Friday night, Braceras said, "A.J. is fully cooperating and looks forward to a resolution of this matter."

State police said the matter is being handled by the U.S. Attorney's Office and directed all questions to that office.

State police said they have not filed any charges and they do not have an open investigation into the matter as it is not within the department's jurisdiction.

The U.S. Attorney's Office would not confirm or deny a current investigation.

The FBI said in a statement Friday night, "In keeping with DOJ policy, the FBI cannot confirm or deny the existence of an investigation."

Andrew Baker has not been arrested and no charges have been filed.

The NBC10 Boston Investigators will stay on top of this developing story.
