(NECN: Amy Sinclair, Lewiston, Maine) - A landmark eatery in Lewiston, Maine, that has become a requisite campaign stop for the state's most prominent politicians, is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
Simone's Hot Dog Stand has been a fixture on Chestnut Street since it was founded by a Greek immigrant family in 1908.
Simone's is far from fancy, but she has all the fixings!
Owners Jimmy and Linda Simones are celebrating the anniversary. They are asking customers to share memories and photos of the restaurant.
The centennial celebration features $1 specials, door prizes and other events. It runs through Friday, August 15th.
