Medway Resident Attacked by Woodchuck

Earlier this week a resident was pursued by an extremely aggressive woodchuck near the Idylbrook Recreation Area. The animal was caught, euthanized, and tested positive for rabies. The resident has sought preventative rabies treatment.

Medway Animal Control urges residents to exercise caution if they encounter an aggressive wild animal and to alert the Medway Police Department at (508) 533-3212 and/or the Animal Control Officer at (508) 533-3251 or bhamelin@townormedway.org.

Residents are advised to keep an eye on children and to keep dogs on leash at all times.
