The Massachusetts Turnpike was closed temporarily in both directions in Sturbridge after a rollover caused life-threatening injuries Friday.
State police confirm the highway was closed to allow a LifeFlight helicopter to land.
All lanes were reopened before 9:30 p.m., but traffic remained heavy eastbound.
