Thousands Still Without Power After Storm

Power companies working to restore electricity

About 13,000 residents are still without power Saturday evening in southeastern Massachusetts due to snow and ice felling power lines.

National Grid still had more than 700 and Eversource had 12,300 customers without power.

"We lost it at about 1 o'clock yesterday," said Chris Swezey of Norfolk.

Luckily, the family has a generator.

"Out here, if you don't have a genrator and you lose power, you lose water, you lose toilet, you lose basically everything," he said.

Emergency officials urged residents to keep generators outside and to use carbon monoxide detectors inside their homes.
