(NECN/WMC) - "Mudd Island" happens to be the name of this area in west Tennessee -- and it's an appropriate name as you can see here.
Take a look -- the overflowing Mississippi River has left the region around Memphis under a few feet of brown, muddy water.
The river is expected to crest about 14 feet above flood stage at Memphis -- but not until next Wednesday.
