The under-sea camera showing the gushing BP oil well became a national symbol of corporate greed and sloppiness.

Back in New England, the people behind Cape Wind must have felt like candles in the wind. After years of delay, the proposed windfarm won approval, but became a political issue once again, still generating controversy and no power.
