A Massachusetts man has been arraigned in connection with a fatal shooting in Brockton.
Evyn Garner of Abington was arraigned on one count of murder, armed robbery, and illegal possession of a firearm in Brockton District Court.
On Monday around 3:46 p.m., Brockton Police responded to the shooting that killed Richard Tangherlini. He was pronounced dead at Brockton Hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that Tangherlini met with Garner to sell him a small bag of marijuana. Garner allegedly placed a gun to Tangherlini's head and attempted to rob him. Tangherlini was shot in the throat during the struggle and Garner fled from the scene.
A warrant was issued for Garner's arrest and he was taken into custody around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The incident remains under investigation.
