1 Killed, 1 Injured in Dorchester Shooting

One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting Friday night in Dorchester, police said.

Boston Police responded to the intersection of Alexander Street and Bird Street after a person was reported to have been shot. Police arrived around 6:45 p.m. to find one man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers were directed to nearby Emrose Terrace, where another man was found dead.

The first victim police found was taken to an area hospital.

The man who died, believed to be in his 20s, has not been identified.
