After Philips’ CPAP machines were recalled, there are concerns that the replacement may also be a health hazard.

A voluntary recall of Philips CPAP and BiPAP machines has a lot of people losing sleep — the breathing machines used primarily for sleep apnea could release cancer-causing toxins through a defect undetectable from outside the machine.

Millions of Americans suffer from sleep apnea, a condition that can interrupt a person’s airways and breathing while they sleep, and now, those people have one more reason to be on alert.
